Our client is a progressive, high growth company that sells customizable jewelry to fine quality jewelry retailers throughout the world. Established in North American, our client is a privately held company selling a variety of bracelets and necklaces with beads made of Italian Murano glass, Swarovski® crystal, as well as gold and silver. Our client’s jewelry allows each individual to design and customize their own bracelets and necklaces each having their own unique character and style. Due to a recent expansion of their manufacturing operations in Asia, our client is seeking an experienced manufacturing professional to join their organization.


MANUFACTURING DIRECTOR - JEWELRY

BANGKOK – CONTRACT MANUFACTURING

UP TO 400K/MONTHLY ++

The Manufacturing Director will report to the Vice President of Supply Chain based in North American and act as the Asian Representative for our client with all appropriate stockholders working with various contract manufacturing facilities This will involve managing local relationships with suppliers in Asia, ensuring their operations deliver products to set targets and quality standards as well as managing transitions of new product designs into production process to support the needs of our clients growth for future demand. Additionally the Manufacturing Director will be required to align their colleagues to determine process improvement, best practices and continuous improvements with lean manufacturing processes to lower production costs whenever possible. The Manufacturing Director will oversee both Thai and Chinese based contract manufacturing operations and ensure their continued support to meet demands of our client’s global sales operations.

The Manufacturing Director will be qualified to degree level in an engineering or related subject and have at least 10 years of direct working experience managing manufacturing operations preferably within the jewelry industry managing regional suppliers. Additionally the sought after candidate will have a strong background in Lean Sigma and procurement and/or contract manufacturing. The Manufacturing Director will also need to have a high level of initiative, be able to work independently and anticipate potential risks and issues to avoid production issues to prevent deliveries to our client’s global sales operations.
