The Assistant VP will report to the Vice President of Finance and assist in the management of all accounting functions of our client’s large scale publically listed company. This will involve preparation of financial statements, budgets and reports as well as filing of appropriate reports and tax filings. The successful candidate will also conduct coordinated audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure strict compliance with company and governmental regulations. The AVP – Accounting will also supervise a large number of subordinates to ensure their continued development as well as delegate responsibilities for payable and receivables as well monitoring financial activities to ensure accuracy and compliance standards are maintained and improved continually.
The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in an accounting/financially related subject and have at least 10 years working experience gained in a management position preferably within a publically listed company. Additionally the AVP – Accounting will be a qualified CPA, have a strong background in internal controls and have very strong knowledge of locals laws and tax policies. The sought after candidate will also need to have very good English communication skills, be able to work under pressure and have exceptional presentation and analytical skills.
