Key Account Engineer - Oil & Gas - Smart Search Recruitment

Our client is an international industrial trading company specializing in piping systems, structural steel, valves, and instrumentation. With growing operations across the Asia-Pacific region, the company supports large-scale energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects through technical expertise and efficient supply chain capabilities. The Bangkok office serves as the APAC hub, coordinating regional business development and project execution. 

They are currently seeking a Key Account Engineer to manage and grow client relationships across the APAC region. The role combines technical sales, account management, and project coordination. It involves handling commercial inquiries, leading proposal efforts, and working with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop key client accounts across APAC, including building relationships with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Identify new business opportunities and secure company approvals with key end-users and contractors
• Handle technical and commercial inquiries, prepare quotations, and lead proposal submissions
• Coordinate with sourcing and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth project execution
• Support order tracking, documentation, shipping, and post-sales service
• Contribute to budgeting, sales forecasting, and account profitability tracking
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, payment terms, and contract obligations
• Travel as required across the region for client meetings and project follow-ups

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or project coordination
• Background in piping, steel, valves, or instrumentation preferred
• Experience in trading or distribution environments is a plus
• Strong English communication skills and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Results-driven, proactive, and comfortable with regional travel
