Our client is a global publisher of peer-reviewed journals, books, and reference works, dedicated to advancing research and enriching lives through trusted knowledge. For over two centuries, it has brought together diverse ideas and voices, guided by the belief that fostering human progress requires open minds, rigorous debate, and the inclusion of well-supported perspectives. Currently, they are seeking a Sales Executive to join their online resources sales team.
The Sales Executive will focus on building awareness and driving adoption of the company’s offerings through engagement with customers and potential clients. The role includes regular participation in industry events, conferences, and face-to-face meetings throughout Thailand. As a member of the APAC commercial team, you will contribute to the growth of online resource sales across both Thailand and Vietnam, reporting directly to the Sales Manager overseeing these markets. This will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Able to establish and execute a sales strategy for the region.
- Maximize sales revenue to meet and exceed regional targets.
- Maintain and build a healthy sales pipeline to ensure continued growth.
- Maintain, build, and manage strong working relationships with agents and other channel partners.
- Travelling in Thailand to seek out new opportunities and customers, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to maximize upselling potential and repeat business.
- To share knowledge, best practice and experience with the wider Taylor and Francis product and sales teams.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years' experience in a sales role is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline.
- Strong consultative selling abilities with a client-centric mindset.
- Fluency in both Thai and English, written and spoken.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective, positive relationships with external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills across written formats, virtual platforms, and face-to-face interactions, including confident presentation delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of CRM systems.
Ideally, you would also bring:
- Familiarity with academic publishing and its market dynamics.
- Previous experience selling to or working with academic or higher education libraries.
- Experience in selling digital products, either directly to customers or through third-party partners.
Additional Information:
• You must have the right to work and live in Bangkok, Thailand.
• The successful candidate will be homebased in Bangkok; some travels may be required.
• Relocation support is not provided for this role.
