Assistant Technical Manager - Poultry Products - Smart Search Recruitment

Currently, they are seeking an experienced, Assistant Technical Manager to support day-to-day technical and quality operations.

The Assistant Technical Manager will assist in managing daily technical and quality operations for poultry and frozen snack products within a global food trading business. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

• Provide support in maintaining food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring HACCP, GMP, and supplier food safety programs.
• Review and verify technical documentation such as product specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and HACCP documentation.
• Take part in supplier audits and on-site factory inspections.
• Track and ensure completion of corrective actions with suppliers.
• Support responses to customer technical queries and handle basic complaint investigations.
• Assist in conducting traceability tests and product recall simulations.
• Liaise with trading, logistics, and sales teams regarding technical-related issues.
• Monitor key technical performance indicators and prepare related reports.
• Provide additional support to the technical team during high-demand periods.

Qualifications:

• Qualified to degree level in a related field such as Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in poultry or frozen party food industry.
• Experience in QA, technical functions, poultry processing (both slaughter and further processing), or food production/export operations.
• Strong background and Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, BRC, and food safety and quality standard systems.
• Excellent verbal and written command in English, and Thai language.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Flexibility for extended travels in Thailand and abroad for supplier visits is essential.
