Our client is a Fortune 500 company and global leader in electrical, industrial, and supply chain solutions. With a presence in over 50 countries and a growing footprint in Asia, the organization provides advanced infrastructure, logistics, and distribution services across diverse sectors, including data centers, manufacturing, and energy. As part of its continued expansion in Thailand, the company is looking to strengthen its in-house legal capability through a regional-facing legal role based in Bangkok.
They are currently seeking an Associate Counsel to serve as a legal business partner for internal teams across Thailand and the wider APAC region. This is a sole-contributor role reporting regionally with exposure to commercial contracting, corporate advisory, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic, solutions-oriented legal professional with 3 - 5 years of experience and an interest in supporting day-to-day business activities within a fast-moving, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support across business functions including sales, finance, operations, HR, and procurement
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, service agreements, and vendor documentation
- Liaise with regional legal team to ensure local alignment with global legal policies and risk management frameworks
- Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory, corporate governance, and compliance matters relevant to Thai operations
- Support legal aspects of customer engagements, project execution, and supply chain agreements
- Coordinate with external counsel when required on local legal or regulatory issues
- Develop internal contract templates, legal workflows, and awareness around legal risk and compliance
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, assess their business impact, and provide timely legal updates to stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law; licensed to practice in Thailand
- 3 - 5 years of legal experience in a corporate or law firm setting (in-house experience preferred)
- Familiarity with commercial contracts, corporate law, and regulatory compliance in Thailand
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to partner effectively with non-legal stakeholders
- Fluent in Thai and English (written and spoken)
- Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and able to balance legal risk with business needs
- Self-motivated and able to operate independently in a regional matrix environment
