Operations Head (After Sales) - Solar Inverter & Energy - Smart Search Recruitment

Our client is a China-based global manufacturer specializing in solar inverters, energy storage systems, and renewable energy solutions. Founded since 2000 and listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company designs and manufactures residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar inverters, hybrid inverters, battery storage systems, and related energy products. They operate large-scale production and R&D facilities in China and distributes its products to more than 140 countries worldwide through global subsidiaries and distribution networks across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Currently, our client is seeking an experienced Operations Head to lead and manage the After Sales Service & Training team in Thailand. 

The Operations Head will lead Thailand’s after-sales service operations for solar inverter and energy storage products, overseeing service engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality customer support, efficient troubleshooting, and strong operational performance. They will also drive technical training programs for internal teams, distributors, installers, while providing technical guidance on solar inverter and PV systems. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

• Lead after-sales service and technical training operations for solar inverter and energy storage systems in Thailand.
• Manage and develop Service Engineers and Technicians to ensure high service standards, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Plan manpower allocation and work schedules for subordinates. 
• Oversee troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, technical escalations, and spare parts planning.
• Monitor and improve service KPIs, SOPs, workflows, documentation, and compliance with safety and company standards.
• Conduct technical training programs and provide product support for internal teams, distributors, installers, and partners.
• Build strong relationships with customers, EPCs, distributors, and service partners while resolving service-related issues promptly.
• Collaborate with HQ and cross-functional teams on technical support, product feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree level or higher in a field including Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy or a demonstrable equivalent experience and exceptional ability.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of after-sales service/ service operations experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical, or inverter industries. 
• A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.
• Strong knowledge of solar inverter/ PV systems, troubleshooting, team management, and customer service required.
• Strong communication and time management skills with high attention to details.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner under stress.
