Commercial Controller - Automation - Smart Search Recruitment

Our client is a globally recognized leader in high-precision technology, specializing in advanced motion control, automation solutions, and measurement systems. With a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence and quality, their products support critical applications across manufacturing, robotics, semiconductors, and high-end industrial sectors. As our client expands their presence in Southeast Asia, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Controller to act as financial gatekeeper of the business. 

The Commercial Controller will be responsible for end-to-end finance operations across Order-to-Cash, billing, receivables, and payables, ensuring accurate invoicing, strong cash flow management, and compliance with tax and financial control standards. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

• Manage full Order-to-Cash cycle, including invoicing, payment terms, PO, VAT, and WHT documentation.
• Oversee AR and credit control: review credit terms, monitor aging, and resolve overdue balances.
• Handle AP processes: execute local and international payments, including FX transactions.
• Prepare and manage payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with VAT/WHT filings, maintain fixed asset records, and support audits.
• Monitor exceptions (e.g., delays, non-standard transactions) and enforce financial controls.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree level or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5 – 10 years of experience in finance operations (O2C, billing, AR/AP).
• Strong knowledge of cash flow, credit control, VAT, and WHT. 
• Proficient in ERP systems and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.
• Experience in industrial/ technical products is preferred. 
• Detail-oriented, proactive, with strong ownership and accountability. 
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
