Our client is an independent recycling company who specializes in the purchase, analysis, and processing of Platinum Group Metals (PGM) scraps. As an industry-leading specialist in the recycling of the PGM, our client has become one of Asia’s largest processors of end-of-life catalytic converters and has been listed as one of the Top 10 Singapore’s Fastest Growing Companies Survey for four consecutive years. Established for more than 10 years ago in Singapore, our client currently operates in Thailand and is now looking for a Production Planning Executive to support the Thailand operation in the following capacity.
The Production Planning Executive will oversee daily production activities, ensuring efficient operations, quality standards, cost control, team performance, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet output targets.
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure quality standards are met.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase records and ensure proper labelling.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and resolve operational issues.
- Continuously improve processes and equipment to enhance productivity.
- Allocate manpower and equipment efficiently.
- Oversee staff performance while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and maintaining 5S workplace organization standards.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance development for production staff.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure machinery setup complies with regulatory requirements.
- Support equipment procurement, installation, maintenance, and calibration.
- Manage labor costs, overtime, and consumables.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and energy usage to control operational expenses.
- Conduct safety training, daily briefings, and toolbox meetings.
- Investigate incidents and report findings to management.
- Promote environmental and workplace safety awareness
- Work closely with logistics, laboratory, and engineering teams.
- Participate in trial runs, process optimization, and equipment enhancement projects.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing or equivalent).
- At least 2+ years of experience in the Manufacturing industry.
- Strong command of both spoken and written English and Thai.
- Comfortable working in a dusty environment (Personal Protective Equipment provided).
- Understanding and knowledge of production planning.
- Initiative, independent, and highly detail-oriented with the willingness to be hands-on.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
