Our client is a UK-based company that develops high-tech tools and systems used in scientific research and advanced manufacturing. Their products help scientists and engineers study materials at the microscopic and atomic level, work with quantum technologies, and develop new innovations in fields like semiconductors, nanotechnology, and life sciences. Currently, they are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to support the organization and their customers.
The Sales Manager will establish and lead the company’s Material Analysis sales presence in Thailand, driving business growth across Thailand and selected SEA markets. The role will be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing new businesses, managing key customer relationships, and expanding market share for the product portfolio. The overall responsibilities are outlined as follows:
Drive sales growth and achieve revenue, volume, and product mix targets across Thailand and selected SEA markets.
Develop and execute territory sales strategies, forecasts, and business plans aligned with regional objectives.
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while expanding current key accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEM partners, distributors, and key decision-makers.
Support major bids, tenders, and OEM sales activities.
Deliver product demonstrations, workshops, seminars, and customer/distributor training.
Monitor sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and provide market intelligence.
Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
Collaborate with regional sales, marketing, and technical support teams to ensure successful customer engagement and post-sales support.
Travel regularly throughout Thailand and selected SEA countries to support customers and business development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Geology, or related discipline.
Proven B2B sales experience selling scientific instruments, analytical equipment, or industrial capital equipment.
Experience managing distributors and/or OEM partners.
Strong business development, territory management, and account management skills.
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong command of spoken and written Thai and English languages.
Knowledge of material characterization technologies such as SEM, EDS, EBDS, FIB, WDS, Raman, AFM, or Nano Indentation.
Understanding of semiconductor, materials science, research, or advanced manufacturing industries.
Established network within Thailand’s scientific, industrial, or research sectors.
Proactive and able to work independently in a newly established market.
Commercially driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
